The Threshold Report
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026. This is a beta product — this policy will be updated as features are added.
What we collect
When you create an account and use The Threshold Report, we collect:
- Account information: your name, email address, date of birth, and gender
- Location: your city, entered during onboarding and used to suggest relevant races
- Race history: results you claim from the IRONMAN results database, or enter manually, including your finish time and swim, bike, and run split times
- Training goals: goals you set within the app, such as qualifying for Kona or completing a first race
- Race preferences: your preferred distances, regions, race frequency, terrain type, and other filters
If you sign up for early access or join the waitlist without creating a full account, we collect your name and email address only.
We also collect limited usage data through our analytics provider when you consent to cookies — see the Cookies section below.
Why we collect it
We use your data to power personalized race recommendations and qualification probability scoring. Specifically: your date of birth and gender determine your IRONMAN age group; your finish time history is age-graded and compared against race-specific cutoffs to score your probability of earning a World Championship qualifying slot at each race.
That is the full scope of what we do with your data. We do not use it for advertising, market research, or to build profiles for any purpose other than the race intelligence product you signed up for.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertising networks, including Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, or any similar platforms. We do not run ads on The Threshold Report, and we do not use your information to build advertising profiles — directly or through any third party.
Third parties we use
We rely on a small number of carefully chosen third parties to operate the product:
Supabase handles data storage and user authentication. Your account data — including your name, email, date of birth, race results, and preferences — is stored in a Supabase-hosted database. Supabase does not use this data for its own purposes.
PostHog handles product analytics, such as which pages are visited and where users drop off in onboarding. PostHog only receives data if you explicitly accept cookies. If you decline, PostHog receives nothing from your session. We use PostHog in a minimal configuration: we do not enable autocapture, we do not track ad clicks, and we do not share PostHog data with any other service.
Loops handles email communications. If you sign up for early access or join the waitlist, your name and email address are shared with Loops so we can send you updates. We do not share any other profile data — race results, date of birth, goals, or preferences — with Loops.
We do not use any other third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or marketing tools.
Cookies
We use two types of cookies:
Essential cookies are set by Supabase to keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary for the product to function and are set regardless of your cookie preference.
Analytics cookiesare set by PostHog to collect usage data. These are only set if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you click “Decline,” no analytics cookies are set and PostHog does not receive any data from your session. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
How long we keep your data
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe. Some anonymized aggregate data — such as total counts of races analyzed — may be retained for internal product metrics, but this cannot be linked back to you.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is processed. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [contact email — to be added before public launch] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Because this is a beta product with a small user base, we handle these requests directly rather than through an automated system.
Changes to this policy
As The Threshold Report grows and adds features, this policy will be updated. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we add a new data use that is meaningfully different from what is described here, we will notify existing users by email before the change takes effect.
